- 1 c. light brown sugar (use dark brown sugar if you like darker pie)
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 3 eggs, well beaten
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. pecans
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar together.

2Add next four ingredients and mix well.

3Add coarsely broken nutmeats.

4Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake in preheated 450° oven for 5 minutes.

5Reduce heat and bake at 350° until filling is firm.

6I put strips of foil on edge of pie crust to keep from browning too much.
