  • 2-layer size yellow cake mix
  • 1/4 c. margarine or butter, softened
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped pecans

Directions

    Set aside 2/3 cup of the yellow cake mix.

    Combine remaining cake mix, margarine or butter and beaten egg.

    Stir by hand until mixture is crumbly.

    Press the mixture evenly over bottom and 1 inch up the sides of an ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.
