Pecan Pie Bars

Ingredients

  • 2 c. plain flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. butter or margarine, cut up
  • 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 c. white corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 4 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 1/2 finely chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Directions

    Combine first 3 ingredients.

    Cut in 3/4 cup butter. (A pastry blender or 2 knives can be used.)

    Press this mixture in bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 17 to 20 minutes until light brown.
