- 1 pkg. yellow cake mix (minus 2/3 c.)
- 1/2 c. melted oleo
- 1 egg
- 2/3 c. reserved cake mix
- 1 1/2 c. Karo syrup
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 to 1 1/2 c. pecans
Directions

1Mix first 3 ingredients (cake mix, oleo and egg).

2Pour (pat) into a 9 x 13-inch greased pan (like pie crust).

3Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350°.

4Mix remaining ingredients well.

5Pour over baked cake.

6Sprinkle with 1 to 1 1/2 cups pecans.

7Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 350°.

8When cool, cut in bars.
