Pecan Pie Cake

  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. melted butter
  • 1 1/2 c. butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 to 2 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. dark brown sugar

Directions

    Mix well cake mix, 1 egg and 1/2 cup melted butter.

    Reserve 2/3 cup of mixture.

    Spread remaining mixture into 9 x 13-inch pan and bake for 15 minutes at 325°.

    Pour 1 1/2 cups butter, 3 eggs, chopped pecans, vanilla and dark brown sugar on top of crust and bake about 1 hour at 325°.

    (You may want to check it after 45 minutes.)
