Pecan Pies

Ingredients

  • 2 unbaked pie shells
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 4 tbsp. cream
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 2 1/2 c. chopped pecans (then I added about 10 pecans in a fan on the top of each pie)

Directions

    Beat eggs until mixed (not fluffy).

    Add brown sugar, Karo, salt, cream, and vanilla; mix well.

    Pour into unbaked pie shells and dot with butter.

    Spread chopped pecans on top; bake at 350 for about 45 minutes or until center is firm.

    (It takes an hour in my oven)

    (cover the crust with foil the last 15 minutes so it doesn't get too brown.)
