- 1 c. butter, softened
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 tsp. water
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- pecans to taste (I use 2 c., chopped)
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar; add vanilla and water and mix well. Blend in flour and pecans.

2Shape in balls or finger size bars. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325° for about 20 minutes.

3I turn up the heat for a few minutes to brown them.

4Cool slightly and roll in powdered sugar.

5A good way to do this is to put the sandies in brown paper bag and add the powdered sugar and shake well.
