  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs and 1 tsp. almond or vanilla extract
  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • pecans

Directions

    Heat oven to 400°.

    Mix all ingredients, except pecans.

    Roll into balls.
  4. 4
    Dip in sugar and press pecan in center of each ball. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes.
