- 8 oz. softened cream cheese
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1 (2 1/2 oz.) pkg. dried beef
- 1/4 tsp. pepper (white)
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 2 Tbsp. chopped green onions (scallions)
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- Melba toast
Directions

1Drop dried beef into a small pan of boiling water; remove from stove and drain well in a strainer.

2Run it under cold water and chop finely (this removes excess salt from beef).

3Mix cream cheese, milk, pepper, onions and garlic powder together and blend well.

4Add 1/2 cup sour cream and mix.

5Toast pecans with butter. Pour cream mixture into a small baking dish; sprinkle pecans on top and bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes.

6Serve with Melba toast.
