- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups light or dark corn syrup
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups chopped pecans
Directions

1In a large mixing bowl, blend together flour, sugar, butter and salt until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

2Press firmly and evenly into a greased 15 x 10

3x 1 inch baking pan.

4Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

5Meanwhile, in another bowl, combine eggs, syrup, sugar, melted butter and vanilla.

6Stir in pecans.

7Spread evenly over hot crust.

8Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until set.

9Cool on a wire rack.
