  • 3/4 c. margarine
  • 1/4 c. plus 2 tsp. sugar
  • 3 c. flour
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. light or dark Karo syrup
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 Tbsp. margarine
  • 2 1/2 c. finely chopped pecans

Directions

    Cream together the first 2 ingredients.

    Add the flour and salt and mix until crumbly.
  3. 3
    Press into a greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch pan and bake at 350° until golden, about 20 minutes.
