Pecan Squash Casserole

- 1 lb. yellow squash
- onion
- 1/2 stick margarine
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1/2 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 1/2 c. crackers
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Melt butter in casserole first.

3Steam squash with onion until tender.

4Drain and mash thoroughly.

5Add other ingredients to mashed squash, then put in casserole on top of butter.
