Pecan Sticks

Directions

   Blend butter, sugar and egg and beat well.

   Add vanilla and dry ingredients.

   Mix well and add pecans.

   Spread in 10 3/4 x 7 x 1 1/2-inch or 8 x 8-inch buttered pan.

   Bake in moderate 350° oven until firm and light brown and the cookies have pulled away slightly from pan.

   Let cool 5 minutes.

   Cut in bars.
