- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. hot water
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. milk
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
Directions

1Boil together the brown sugar and hot water for 10 minutes. Cool and add the butter, flour, milk, salt and eggs.

2Cook all together in a double boiler until thick and smooth, stirring constantly.

3Cool and add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1/2 cup pecan meats, chopped.

4Put 2 tablespoons of mixture in prepared (baked) tart shells.

5Garnish with 1/2 cup whipped cream, sweetened with 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar and put a whole pecan on top.

6Fills about 1 dozen shells.
