  • 2 sticks (1/2 c.) butter or margarine (do not use low-fat versions)
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. soft butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 c. pecan pieces
