Ingredients

  • 1 whole 3 Oz. Package Of Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 1/2 cups Butter, Softened
  • 1 cup All Purpose Flour, Sifted
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 3/4 cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter, Softened
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 dash Salt
  • 2/3 cups Pecans, Chopped

    Pastry:

    Blend together 3 oz. package of softened cream cheese and 1/2 cup softened butter. Stir in flour. Chill for 1 hour.

    When chilled, shape into 2 dozen 1-inch balls. Place individual balls into wells of 1 3/4 inch muffin/tartlet pan. Press dough against the bottom and sides of each well.

    Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees.

    Filling:

    Beat together egg, brown sugar, 1 tablespoon of softened butter, vanilla, and dash of salt just until smooth.

    Divide half of the pecans among the pastry-lined pans. Add egg mixture and top with remaining pecans. I usually put a whole pecan on top.

    Bake at 325 degrees for approximately 25 minutes, or until the filling is set.

    Cool. Remove from pan.
