- 1 stick butter
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 c. plain flour
- 1 egg, separated
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. pecans, finely chopped
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar.

2Add flour.

3Add egg yolk and vanilla. Batter will be stiff.

4Spread as thin as possible on 2 cookie sheets.

5Lightly beat egg white.

6Spread on top and sprinkle with nuts.

7Press in with hand.

8Bake 1 hour at 275° or lower.

9Remove from oven and cut into squares immediately.

10Freeze well.
