- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar (divided use)
- 1/2 c. and 2/3 c. butter (divide use)
- 1 c. pecans
- 1 c. milk chocolate chips
Directions

1Mix flour, 1 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup butter with a mixer for 2 to 3 minutes, until fine particles are formed.

2(You will want to let the butter soften first.)

3Press this mixture in a 9 x 13-inch pan (ungreased) and pat it down firm.

4Sprinkle pecans over this.

5Now make a caramel with 2/3 cup butter and 1/2 cup brown sugar.

6Put this in a pan at

7the same time and cook at medium heat, stirring constantly, until the surface begins to boil.

8Cook 1/2 to 1 minute longer.

9Pour over pecans.

10Put bars in 350° preheated oven and bake for 18 to 20 minutes.

11When you take it out of the oven, sprinkle the chocolate chips over.

12When melted, spread them.

13When cool, cut into bars.
