- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. light brown sugar (packed)
- 2/3 c. sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- dash of salt
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 c. pecan halves or pieces
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces, melted
Directions

1Melt butter in heavy saucepan.

2Stir in sugar, condensed milk, corn syrup and salt.

3Bring to a boil, stirring.

4Reduce heat to very low.

5Cook, stirring almost constantly, for 25 to 30 minutes or until candy thermometer registers 245° or a small amount of mixture dropped in very cold water forms a firm ball.

6Take care to prevent sticking.
