Ingredients
- 500 g milk solids (khoya)
- 225 g sugar (powdered)
- 250 ml milk
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
- 1/2 g saffron
- 1/4 cup pistachios, chopped
- 3 -5 drops rose essence
Directions

1Add saffron in lukewarm milk and leave aside.

2Combine sugar with khoya, mix and then cook over medium heat until the mixture is smooth.

3Add milk in a slow trickle to khoya, stirring continuously and cook till milk is absorbed.

4Repeat the same process till all the milk is used.

5Take off the heat, add rose essence, cardamom powder and chopped pistachio.

6Mix well.

7Now take a little of the mixture and shape it into a round flat peda.

8Make same-sized pedas from the remaining mixture.

9Leave aside to cool thoroughly before serving.
