- 12 red peppers
- 12 green peppers
- 12 onions
- 1 large stalk celery
- 1 qt. vinegar
- 2 lb. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. mustard seed
- 3 Tbsp. celery seed
- 1 Tbsp. salt
Directions

1Grind peppers, onions and celery; scald and let stand 5 minutes and drain.

2Scald again and let stand 10 minutes; drain. Make syrup with vinegar, sugar and salt.

3Put mustard and celery seeds in a small bag.

4Put with syrup.

5Put the syrup over the well drained mixture and boil slowly 20 minutes.

6Pack in hot pints and seal.

7Makes about 5 pints.
