Ingredients

  • 12 sweet red peppers
  • 12 sweet green peppers
  • 12 large/15 medium onions
  • 2 oz. mustard seed
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 qt. vinegar
  • celery seed (if desired)

Directions

    Wash peppers and onions; remove pepper seeds.

    Put through food chopper or grinder.
  3. 3
    Cover with boiling water and let stand 10 minutes.

    Drain well and put in large kettle.

    Add remaining ingredients.

    Cook until onions are transparent, about 30 to 40 minutes.

    Pour into sterilized jars and seal.
