- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 1 lb. steak, cut into thin strips (caribou, venison or moose)
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 2 green peppers, thinly sliced
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 c. cold water
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. brown sugar or to taste
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Preheat oil in skillet, uncovered, at 325°.

2Add meat and brown.

3Add onion and pepper slices and cook until just tender. Dissolve cornstarch in soy sauce and water.

4Add brown sugar and pepper.

5Pour into skillet, stirring, until sauce is thickened and clear.

6Serve over hot rice.
