- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 1/2 lb. boneless chuck steak, cut into thin strips
- 1 envelope Lipton onion or beef onion soup mix
- 2 c. water
- 2 green peppers, cut into strips
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
Directions

1In a large skillet, heat oil and brown beef.

2Stir in onion soup mix blended with 1 1/2 cups water.

3Simmer, covered, stirring occasionally for 30 minutes.

4Add green peppers and simmer, covered, for 10 minutes or until beef is tender.

5Stir in cornstarch, blended with remaining water.

6Bring to a boil; then simmer, stirring constantly, until sauce is thickened, about 5 minutes.

7Serve over hot cooked rice.

8Makes 6 servings.
