- 1 1/4 lb. sirloin steak (1/2-inch thick)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. onions, diced
- 1 c. mushrooms, sliced (fresh or canned)
- 1 c. beef bouillon
- 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 green peppers, cut 1-inch pieces
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. cold water
- 2 large tomatoes, peeled and cut in 1/8ths
- cooked noodles
Directions

1Trim any fat and bone from meat.

2Cut meat into approximately 1 1/2 x 3-inch pieces.

3Grease skillet lightly with fat from meat. Brown meat thoroughly on one side.

4Turn.

5Sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon salt.

6Brown other side of meat; turn.

7Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt.

8Push meat to side of skillet.

9Add onion and mushrooms; cook and stir until tender.

10Add bouillon, soy sauce and garlic.

11Cover and simmer 30 minutes, or until tender.

12Add green pepper; cover and simmer 5 minutes.

13Blend cornstarch with water; gradually stir into mixture in skillet. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens; boil 1 minute. Add tomatoes and heat through.

14Serve over noodles or rice.
