Ingredients

  • 2 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 pkg. French onion soup and recipe mix
  • 1 1/2 tsp. minced fresh ginger or 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 3 Tbsp. Mazola corn oil
  • 2 medium red or green peppers, thinly sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 lb. flank steak, cut in strips
  • cooked rice

Directions

    In a small bowl stir water, soy sauce, soup mix and ginger until blended.

    In a large skillet heat 2 tablespoons corn oil over medium-high heat.

    Add peppers and garlic; stir-fry 2 to 3 minutes or until tender-crisp.

    Remove.

    Heat remaining corn oil in skillet.

    Add beef, half at a time; stir-fry 2 to 3 minutes. Remove as browned.

    Return beef and peppers to skillet.

    Stir in soup mixture.

    Stirring constantly, bring to a boil and boil 1 minute.

    Serve over rice.
