- 1 1/2 lb. boneless chuck steak
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix
- 2 c. water
- 2 medium green peppers, cut into thin strips
- cornstarch or flour
- 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Cut meat into thin strips.

2In large skillet heat shortening and brown meat, turning frequently.

3Stir in onion soup mix and 2 cups water after meat is brown.

4Cover and simmer 30 minutes.

5Stir in green peppers and simmer 10 minutes or until meat is tender. Blend cornstarch or flour with 1/2 cup water.

6Stir just enough into skillet to thicken.

7Serve over rice.
