- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 Land O Lakes Egg, lightly beaten
- 2 tablespoons Land O Lakes Butter, melted
- 1 medium (1 cup) Gala apple, peeled, chopped
- 6 slices (1/2 cup) bacon, crisply cooked, chopped
- 6 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes Deli American, cut into quarters
Directions

1Heat oven to 375F.

2Grease 12-cup muffin pan or line with paper baking cups; set aside.

3Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in bowl.

4Stir in milk, egg and butter just until moistened.

5Gently stir in apple and bacon.

6(Batter will be thick.)

7Divide batter evenly among muffin cups.

8Bake 15-18 minutes or until light golden brown and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

9Remove from oven; top each muffin with 2 quarters cheese.

10Continue baking 1-2 minutes or until cheese is melted.

11Cool 5 minutes in pan; remove from pan to cooling rack.
