Ingredients

  • 1 flank steak (round or sirloin works)
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. sherry
  • 1 scant tsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • salt to taste
  • 2 to 3 green peppers
  • 4 Tbsp. oil or oleo

Directions

    Cut steak into thirds lengthwise, then into 1/8-inch strips crosswise.

    (If slightly frozen, it slices better.) Put into bowl. Add next 5 ingredients and marinate at least 15 minutes (longer if possible).

    Stir 2 or 3 times during marinade process.
