- 1 lb. round steak, cut in bite size pieces
- 1/2 c. cooking oil
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. celery
- 2 tomatoes, cut in eighths
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 1 c. green pepper, chopped
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch with 1 c. water
Directions

1Salt and pepper meat.

2Add garlic and brown in oil.

3Cook until garlic is yellow.

4Add soy sauce and water.

5Cook slowly for 20 minutes (no more than 30).

6Add vegetables except tomatoes and cook, covered, about 15 minutes.

7Mix cornstarch and water.

8Stir into skillet mixture.

9Add tomatoes.

10Cook 5 minutes.

11Serve over hot rice.
