- 2 lb. or more round steak, cut into 1/8 x 2-inch strips
- 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 green peppers, cut in julienne strips
- 1 small tomato sauce
- 1 can beef broth
- cornstarch to thicken
- 1 c. (or more) water
Directions

1Brown beef in skillet.

2Sprinkle with garlic powder, stirring occasionally until browned.

3Remove meat; add onion and green pepper.

4Saute 2 minutes.

5Return meat along with tomato sauce and beef broth.

6Simmer round steak 15 to 20 minutes (or sirloin tips 5 to 10 minutes).

7Blend together cornstarch, water, soy, sugar and salt.

8Add to meat mixture and cook until thickened, stirring constantly.

9Cook 2 more minutes.

10Serve over rice or pasta noodles.
