Peppered Hamburger Meat

  • 2 lb. hamburger meat
  • 1/4 c. oatmeal
  • 2 tsp. garlic salt or powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 cans stewed tomatoes
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 5 tsp. sugar
  • 5 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 2 bell peppers

Directions

    Mix hamburger, oatmeal, garlic and salt; make into meatballs and brown.

    Add onion, tomatoes, soy sauce, sugar, water and cornstarch; simmer for 15 minutes.

    Add diced bell pepper; cook 10 minutes.

    (Bell peppers should be crisp.)

    Serve over rice or noodles.
