  • 3 ounces, fluid Creme De Cacao (dark)
  • 2 ounces, fluid Cream
  • 2 ounces, fluid Peppermint Schnapps
  • Crushed Peppermint Candies For Optional Garnish

    Note about the creme de cacao: it comes in light and dark and is found at your liquor store in the liqueur aisle with the Schnapps.

    Put peppermint candies in a Ziploc bag and crush into small pieces. Put the crushed candy on a plate.

    Line your glass rim with creme de cacao, press into the crushed peppermint candies.

    Using a cocktail shaker, shake together the creme de cacao, cream and Schnapps with ice; strain into glass(es).

    Note about serving: the original recipe calls for the drink to be served in two vignette port wine glasses, which we didn't have. You can either pour the entire drink into a highball glass for yourself or into two rocks glasses or two martini glasses.
