Ingredients

  • 3 c. brown sugar
  • 2 c. butter
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 8 1/2 to 9 c. flour

Directions

    Cream sugar and butter; beat eggs and add to sugar mixture. Add cream.

    Sift together all dry ingredients.

    Add enough flour to make soft dough (not sticky).

    Mix well.

    Chill dough 4 hours. Roll dough into long rolls, about 1/2-inch diameter.

    Cut into tiny pieces and bake on cookie sheet at 350° for about 8 minutes or until slightly brown.

    (Cutting is much easier if the long rolls of dough are frozen.)
