- 1 14 ounces yeast
- 1 cup lukewarm water
- 18 cup granulated sugar
- 18 cup shortening
- 2 12 teaspoons salt
- 1 cup scalded milk
- 5 cups flour
- 1 lb pepperoni
Directions

1Soften yeast in the water.

2Separately, stir shortening, sugar and salt in milk.

3Add yeast mixture.

4Blend in flour.

5Knead on floured board until smooth.

6Place in greased bowl.

7Cover with damp towel and let rise in a warm place until doubled in bulk.

8Cut pepperoni into 2 inch strips, then quarters lengthwise.

9Afer dough is ready, wrap a piece of meat in enough dough to cover.

10Place on a large cookie sheet (greased) and let rise again until doubled.

11Bake at 400 degrees until golden brown.

12Brush with butter.
