Perfect Grilled Burgers

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 pounds 90/10 lean ground sirloin
- 1 1/4 pounds 80/20 lean ground chuck
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (such as Duke's)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons minced shallot (from 1 small shallot)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme
- 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Directions

1Preheat grill to medium-high (400°F to 450°F). Place all ingredients in a medium bowl. Gently mix, using 2 forks, until all ingredients are well incorporated. Shape mixture into 6 (4-inch) patties.

2Place patties on oiled grates. Grill, covered, until a thermometer registers 145°F (medium-rare) when inserted in thickest portion of 1 patty, 5 to 6 minutes per side. Remove from grill, and let rest 5 to 10 minutes. Serve with your favorite burger buns, and accompaniments.
