Perfect Pork Belly

Ingredients

  • 2kg pork belly (skin removed)
  • 2 star anise
  • 120mls dark soy sauce
  • 60g of fresh ginger
  • 1 tbsp ground black pepper
  • For glaze:
  • 6 tbsp dark soya
  • 6 tbsp honey

Directions

    Place pork in medium pot and cover with cold water, star anise, soy, ginger and pepper. Bring to boil, simmer for 2 hours.

    Preheat oven to 200C
  3. 3
    Place meat on roasting pan and drizzle with glaze. Place in oven and reduce the heat to 150C after 15 mins. Bake for 1 hour.

    Serve immediately
