- 3 c. water (plus)
- salt to taste

1Cook rice on medium heat.

2As rice begins to swell and absorb water, continue to add more water, stirring often.

3Sample rice to determine when it is soft and done.

4When done, fill pot full with hot water, stirring well.

5Strain in colander and serve.
