- 1 12 lbs ground beef
- 4 large potatoes
- 1 medium onion
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 12 teaspoons salt
- 18 teaspoon turmeric
- 18 teaspoon powdered saffron
- 1 large egg
Directions

1Peel and grate potatoes, set aside.

2Grate onion; mix with beef.

3Add grated potatoes, flour, salt, turmeric, and saffron and mix well by hand or food processor.

4Mix in egg until well combined.

5Heat vegetable oil in skillet.

6Form meat mixture into oval patties and fry each side until well browned.

7Transfer to paper towel to drain and salt to taste.

8Note: you may wish to mix saffron in a few tablespoons of water and add it to the mixture.
