  • 1 c. plain rice
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. candied ginger, minced
  • 3/4 c. finely chopped walnut meats

    Cook rice until tender.

    Mix butter, ginger and nuts; cook slowly for 5 minutes.

    Mix with rice.

    Place in a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole and bake, covered, 30 minutes at 350°.
