- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. mashed persimmon pulp
- 2 to 2 1/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. powdered cloves
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1 egg
Directions

1Cream sugar and shortening.

2Add unbeaten egg and vanilla; cream again.

3Sift and add dry ingredients together.

4Mix with the shortening and egg mixture.

5Add nuts and bake as drop cookies about 10 minutes in a 350° to 375° oven.
