- 1 pt. persimmon pulp
- 1 tsp. soda
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 c. sweet milk
- 4 eggs
- 4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. allspice
- 1/4 tsp. cloves
- 1/3 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 c. butter or margarine
Directions

1Press ripe persimmons through colander.

2Add soda to pulp. Beat in sugar.

3Add milk and eggs; stir thoroughly.

4Sift all dry ingredients together.

5After sifted and measured, add to persimmon mixture; beat until smooth.

6Melt butter; add to mixture last. Pour into greased pan that is 3 or 4 inches deep.

7Bake at 300° until done.

8Can be served with whipped cream.

9Delicious plain. Recipe can be halved.
