Ingredients
- 1 cup Jelly of Persimmon
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 3 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 egg, whisked
- 2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350AF

2Dissolve the baking soda into the persimmon jelly and mix well.

3Next, add all of the ingredients except for the butter, in the order listed at the top one at a time mixing well.

4Once everything is mixed in, add the melted butter and mix well.

5Drop the cookies by the spoonful onto an ungreased baking sheet or wax paper.

6Bake in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.

7Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

8For extra flavor- glaze them with lemon icing.

9This will make about 40 small cookies.
