- 4 ounces fresh basil
- 13 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 14 cup pine nuts
- 1 garlic clove
- 12 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 dash pepper
- 1 dash nutmeg (optional)
- 12 cup extra virgin olive oil
Directions

1Tear Basil leaves off stems, rinse, dry and set aside.

2toast pine nuts in a frying pan over medium heat, moving constantly to keep from burning.

3Toast them until they become fragrant and slightly browned.

4Put pine nuts in a food processor.

5Add Parmesan and garlic clove.

6Blend until all ingredients are combined.

7Add Salt, pepper and nutmeg (optional).

8With machine turned back on, slowly add Basil.

9Turn off food processor and stir mixture, blend for a few more seconds.

10With the machine turned on again, slowly drizzle in Olive Oil.
