Pesto Brie Puff

  • 1 Sheet of pepperidge farm puff pastry
  • 1 small wheel of brie cheese
  • 1 handful fresh chopped mushrooms
  • 1 handful diced onions
  • 1 tbsp pesto
  • 1 egg (plus bit of water for eggwash)
  • 1 chopstick (to poke holes in top of brie)
  • 1 dash dry dill

    Preheat oven to 400

    Saute mushrooms and onions in a saucepan.

    Set aside.

    Roll out your pastry sheet.

    Place the wheel of brie in the middle.

    Cut four corners of pastry sheet off to make a circle around brie.

    Poke 15 to 20 holes in top of brie (rind on) with a chopstick.

    Spread pesto on top of brie evenly.

    Layer sauted mushrooms and onions on top.

    Fold the pastry over the wheel of brie and other ingredients.

    Pinching edges closed.

    Brush top of puff pastry with eggwash.

    Sprinkle top with dill if desired.

    Bake at 400 for 25 to 30 minutes until pastry is golden brown.

    Serve with crackers or Enjoy by itself!
