- 1 medium Spanish onion
- 1 large green pepper
- 1/4 c. olive oil
- 2 lb. hamburger
- 2 cans stewed tomatoes
- 1 small can tomato sauce
- 2 to 3 cloves crushed garlic
- garlic powder to taste
- salt to taste
- 1 medium jar Spanish olives
- yellow rice
Directions

1Chop onion and green pepper.

2Saute over medium-high heat with crushed garlic until onion and pepper are tender.

3Add hamburger and brown on high heat until meat is cooked through.

4Drain off excess fat.

5Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and salt and garlic to taste.

6Simmer, uncovered, for 45 to 50 minutes until mixture is very thick and water is cooked out.

7Coarsely chop olives; add to meat and cook for about 5 minutes.

8Serve over yellow rice.
