Maple Oat Scones

- 1-1/4 cup All-purpose Flour
- 1-1/4 cup Whole Wheat Flour
- 1/2 cups Rolled Oats
- 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 3/4 cups Unsalted Butter
- 1/4 cups Maple Syrup
- 1/4 cups Milk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°F. Prepare a baking tray by lining it with parchment paper.

2Whisk both flours, oats, baking powder, sugar and salt together in a bowl. Cut the butter into pieces and add it to the bowl. Work it in with your fingers, pastry blender, or with a fork.

3In a separate bowl, combine the milk and the syrup. Add these to the butter and flour mixture and bring everything together to form a soft dough.

4Using 2 tablespoons (the dough will be sticky so you can do what I did and just use your hands), drop the dough onto your prepared cookie sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until they begin to brown on the edges. Serve warm with butter and jam, obviously.
