- 4 1/2 lbs. ripe tomatoes, scalded, peeled, and chopped
- 3 mild green chilies, chopped
- 1 large Spanish onion chopped
- 1 med. green pepper chopped
- 1 med. red pepper chopped
- 3-6 canned whole jal. peppers, chopped
- 5 1/2 oz. tomato paste
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon coarse pickling salt
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions

1Combine all ingredients in a large pot. Bring to boil; cut down to medium. Cook for 70 min. Stir occasionally, until thicker. Makes 5 pints.
