  • 12 1/2 lb. green tomatoes
  • 1 qt. small pickling cucumbers
  • 2 green peppers
  • 4 onions
  • 1 c. salt
  • 2 qt. cider vinegar
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. peppercorns
  • 1 Tbsp. celery seed
  • 1 Tbsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. whole cloves

Directions

    Chop tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and onions to relish consistency.

    Mix with salt and set aside for 12 hours.

    Drain well and press out extra liquid.

    Heat vinegar, sugar and spices. Add chopped vegetables and bring to a boil.

    Pack into jars and seal at once.
