  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2-1/2 Tbsp. corn starch
  • 1-1/2 tsp. Magic Baking Powder
  • 1 Tbsp. hot pepper sauce
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup club soda
  • 1 cup oil, for frying
  • 3 Claussen Dill Pickles, each cut crosswise into 6 slices

Directions

    Whisk first 5 ingredients in medium bowl until well blended.

    Gradually stir in club soda, beating until smooth and well blended.

    (Batter will be thick.)

    Heat oil in deep 10-inch skillet on medium-high heat to 350 degrees F. Add pickles to batter; stir to evenly coat.

    Remove from batter, 1 at a time; shake gently to remove excess batter.

    Add pickles, in batches, to skillet; cook 1 to 2 min.

    or until golden brown, turning frequently.

    Drain on paper towels.
